Product Safety

Pinnacle Arborist Supplies is not responsible for accidents resulting from the use or misuse of equipment sold.

Tree care and high angle work requires specialized equipment, training and experience.

  Please read and follow all manufacturers’ instructions regarding use, inspection and maintenance.

All equipment used in rigging, work positioning, fall protection and personal safety is the responsibility of the purchaser. Equipment and ropes used for rigging should never be used for climbing or fall protection. All equipment should be inspected regularly and retired according to manufacturers’ recommendations.

Safety Notice (03-20-12) Weaver Leather has posted a warning and inspection notice for the rope bridge on all Cougar Climbing Saddles (link). If you have any questions about replacement bridges (on any saddle), please contact the manufacturer, your local dealer, or Pinnacle Arborist Supplies at 501-663-8733.

Safety Notice (01-21-11) The UNMARKED rope bringe RINGS on Cougar Climbing Saddles are being recalled by US Rigging. Manufactured by KONG, the aluminum ring attaching the rope bridge to the Cougar saddle had a single reported instance of fracture, without injury to the user. Rings stamped or etched with a USR or ISC are ok to use. UNMARKED aluminum rings need to be removed and replaced. Contact Pinnacle Arborist Supplies at 501-663-8733 for more information and return procedures, or contact the supplier where you purchased your Cougar saddle.

Safety Notice (08/21/10) – Cougar Climbing Saddles with BLACK/RED rope bridges are being recalled due to a non-injury rope bridge failure. DO NOT climb on this saddle until replacement rope bridge can be supplied to you at no charge. Contact Pinnacle Arborist Supplies at 501-663-8733 for more information and return procedures, or contact the supplier where you purchased your Cougar saddle.
